Token Curated Registry (TCR)

A Token Curated Registry (TCR) is a type of decentralized list that uses a native token to incentivize users to curate the list. Participants can submit entries to the list and stake tokens as a form of collateral. Other users can then challenge the entry if they believe it does not meet the list’s criteria.

When a challenge is initiated, a group of token holders, known as jurors, will vote on the validity of the entry. If the entry is deemed valid, the challenger loses their staked tokens. If the entry is deemed invalid, the original submitter loses their stake.

This system helps maintain the quality and integrity of the list by ensuring that only legitimate entries are included. TCRs have been used in various applications, such as curating lists of reputable businesses or websites. Participants are motivated to act honestly and fairly in order to maintain the value of the token they have staked in the TCR.
