Group Signature

Group Signature in cryptocurrency refers to a cryptographic technique that allows multiple users to sign a message on behalf of a group. This means that a signature produced using a group signature scheme does not reveal which specific member of the group created it. Instead, it only shows that an authorized member of the group has signed off on the message.

In a group signature scheme, there is a group manager who can add or remove members from the group and has the authority to reveal the original signer of a group signature if necessary. This provides a level of anonymity for the group members while allowing for accountability.

Group signatures are commonly used in cryptocurrencies to enhance privacy and security. By enabling multiple users to collectively sign transactions without revealing their identities, group signatures help protect the privacy of users while still ensuring that transactions are valid and authorized by the group.
