Main Chain

The Main Chain is the primary or original blockchain in a cryptocurrency network. It is the foundational chain on which all transactions and blocks are recorded and validated. The Main Chain serves as the backbone of the network, ensuring security and integrity by decentralizing and distributing data across a network of nodes. It is the authoritative source for verifying the history of transactions and maintaining consensus among participants.

New blocks of transactions are added to the Main Chain through a process called mining, where network participants compete to solve complex mathematical problems in order to validate transactions and add them to the chain. Once a block is successfully added, it becomes a permanent part of the Main Chain and cannot be changed or altered without consensus from the majority of network participants.

The Main Chain is often referred to as the longest chain or the chain with the most accumulated proof of work in blockchain networks that utilize a proof-of-work consensus mechanism. It is critical for maintaining the integrity of the network and ensuring that all transactions are secure and valid.
