Unconfirmed Transaction

When a transaction is made in a cryptocurrency network, it needs to be validated by the network to confirm that the transaction is legitimate and that the sender actually has the amount being sent.

An unconfirmed transaction is a transaction that has been broadcast to the network but has not yet been included in a block on the blockchain. This means that the transaction is still pending and has not been fully processed or verified by the network.

During this time, the transaction is at risk of being altered or canceled before it is confirmed and added to the blockchain. The speed at which a transaction is confirmed can vary depending on network congestion and the fees paid by the sender.

Once a transaction is confirmed and added to a block on the blockchain, it is considered final and cannot be reversed or altered. Until that point, however, the transaction remains unconfirmed and in a pending state.
